ComBrio, Inc., providers of on-demand support for on-demand networks, today announced availability of the next version of its Virtual Service Infrastructure (VSI), including new features designed to improve remote monitoring and management via the Internet, as an alternative to
dial-up, Frame Relay, and VPN.
The new version of VSI boasts a variety of new features including:
·
Increased scale and performance
·
New email notification functionality
·
Expanded reporting capabilities for HIPAA and SARBOX
·
New backup and restore capabilities
Increased Scale & Performance
The overall scale of the system has doubled the number of device probes, physical sites and Directed Circuits™; it now supports 10,000 probes, 2,000 sites, and 125 concurrent Directed Circuits.
Additionally, the set-up time of Directed Circuits has been significantly decreased.
E-mail Notification
ComBrio’s new e-mail feature provides users with active notification of when service is performed or completed.
This option allows VSI to automatically send status emails to designated recipients whenever a Directed Circuit is open or closed by a technician.
HIPAA & Sarbanes-Oxley Reporting
“In order to meet Federal regulations, such as SOX and HIPAA, our customer’s expressed a need for expanded activity reporting that would provide a detailed summary of who accessed the company network, when, and for what purpose,” said Dave Boulos, VP of Product Management.
“We are pleased that the new release of VSI is already meeting these customer-driven and regulatory compliance needs.”
VSI now provides a detailed audit report and log files on remote support sessions, including the following information:
·
Who requested the service session and where was it originated from
·
Which location and/or device was the recipient of the service session
·
What was the duration and nature of the service session
Improved Backup & Restore Capabilities
The new backup and restore capability guarantees that even in the event of a system failure, VSI provides a complete disaster recovery capability.
This feature enables a customer to return back to its fully-operational and previously-configured system upon restore and repair.
